Join us for our gingerbread house workshop this

December 13th in the fabulous demonstration kitchen at Mrs. McGarrigles in Merrickville.

Kara and Janet will be happy to guide you through all the fun of creating your own gingerbread house for the holidays...or perhaps, to give away as a gift.  It will be 4 hours of instruction and guarantees that you will leave with a gingerbread house, new skills and possibly sticky fingers...

just kidding- there will be time to wash up!

The workshop will cost $75 each person will all proceeds going towards www.kiva.org .  Kiva is a grassroots organization that provides microloans to entrepreneurs in

impoverished areas of the world.  See video below.

Once your masterpiece is created, we wrap it up for you to take home.

You will need to unwrap it again when you get home so as to complete the drying process as that takes up to 6 hours.

All tools, ingredients, printed instruction, recipes and aprons will be provided.  If you have a special candy that you just know we won't have, you are more than welcome to bring your stash along too.

I really think that this would make a perfect Mom/child outing or even a grandmother/grandchild afternoon. 

As there is real stretches of instruction, I don't think I'd recommend this for children under 5.
